About course
This two-day workshop is suitable for anyone who deals with impact evaluation studies, evidence-based studies, or would like to expand their statistical knowledge and statistical thinking skills to more advanced levels. As a prerequisite and to benefit the most out of the workshop, a basic knowledge of statistics, i.e., a completed undergraduate course of statistics, should be possessed.
Day 1
On the first day, we discuss a series of examples and required study designs in order to perform impact evaluations. We cover the theoretical foundation of quantitative impact evaluations: causal inference with observational study designs.
Day 2
On the second day, we discuss statistical methods and techniques to perform impact evaluations. Conversation is about combining quantitative and qualitative methods and techniques, but the focus is on how to perform a quantitative analysis of an impact evaluation study.
